Rotational Symmetry

Look at the picture.  Which of the four figures have rotational symmetry?  For each one that does, find the angle of rotation and tell the multiples of this angle that rotate the figure so that it looks like the original.

Quadratic Situation

For the picture below:
 1) Figure out how many dots in figure 5 and figure 6.
 2) Record coordinate pairs for values -5 to 5 (exactly what you would find in a table).
 3) Write an equation.

Puzzling...

Your post for today is to find at least one thing that you still find puzzling and post about it.  You can ask a question, give an example, or find another way to describe it.  Make sure that you are VERY clear about what you are puzzled about so I can help you through a reply post.

Welcome

Ok 8th graders... We are about to embark on a new endeavor.  We are going to attempt a math blog.  There are a few rules that we need to follow:

1) All comments that you make are to be school appropriate.  Keep it positive.
2) Keep the conversations on mathematics and what you are learning.
3) Make sure that you are respectful of the others that are posting.

Your first post will be this: Describe how to find the x-intercepts, y-intercept, max/minimum value, and point of symmetry of a quadratic graph (parabola).
